Performance during development.

Atlas is available for preorder. No public alpha or downloadable build is available yet.

Startup and memory

The homepage lists a 150 ms cold startup target and a project-supplied 50 MB reference RAM footprint. These are not reproducible measurements of a released build. Memory depends on the folders, previews, and panes open.

Historical copy tests

The comparison uses an internal cached local Windows API test from July 10, 2026, with three runs per case and the median reported. It is not a timed run through File Explorer or a current speed guarantee. Results vary by hardware and workload.

Source availability

Atlas will be open source. The repository stays private during development and the alpha, and becomes public at beta.
